The MAVO GOGOBOX is a portable 6-in-1 pour over coffee set packed in a zip-around carry case, made by MAVO for brewing at home, in the office, on the road or at camp. It holds MAVO's Wizard hand grinder (420 stainless steel pentagon conical burr), a short-spout pour-over kettle with a 90° vertical pour, the Tritan Startrate dripper, a 350ml Crystaline glass server, a thermometer and V01 filter papers.

Grab-and-go brewing, from bean to cup

Everything a pour-over needs sits in one fitted tray inside a black case with purple zip trim and a carry handle. Grind with the Wizard, check the water with the thermometer, pour through the Startrate dripper into the glass server, and pack it all away again. You bring hot water: the kettle is a pouring kettle, and MAVO does not describe it as electric or stovetop.

Wizard hand grinder

The grinder is MAVO's Wizard 2.0 in its versatile version, with a pentagon conical burr in 420 stainless steel, machined on a 5-axis CNC for an even grind with little fine powder (manufacturer-rated). A double-bearing centre axis keeps the burr aligned and the body is aluminium. MAVO's Wizard 2.0 page lists 24 clicks per rotation at 0.04mm per click and a weight of 440g, and advises brushing it clean rather than washing it.

Short-spout kettle with a thermometer lid

Instead of a long gooseneck, the kettle has a short spout that MAVO designs for a 90° vertical stream, so it controls the pour while taking far less room in the case. The knob on the lid can be swapped for the included thermometer, so you read the water temperature in the kettle itself, and the handle has a heat-resistant silicone grip.

Startrate dripper and Crystaline glass server

The Startrate dripper is made of Tritan, a BPA-free plastic that is light and hard to break outdoors. It has 20 grooves for an even flow, takes V01 paper filters or Wave 155 filters, and MAVO describes both drip and steeping use. It sits on a 350ml Crystaline glass server with a handle-free heat-resistant sleeve and a narrow spout against splashing.

Is the dripper glass or plastic?

Plastic. The Startrate dripper is Tritan, a BPA-free copolyester that looks like glass but is much harder to break, which suits travel and camping. The server is real glass and sits in a heat-resistant sleeve, so it still needs care when packed and carried.

What filters does the GOGOBOX use?

V01 cone paper filters, and some are included. The Startrate dripper also takes Wave 155 flat-bottom filters, which MAVO does not include. When the V01 papers run out, any size 01 cone paper fits, and MAVO sells V01 refills separately.

Can the Wizard grinder grind for espresso?

It is not sold as an espresso grinder. The Wizard 2.0 adjusts in 0.04mm steps and MAVO positions it for pour over, cold brew, French press and moka pot. It is a good travel grinder for filter coffee; for espresso you would want a grinder built for it.
